Board Member Change

With regret, we announce the resignation of Rob Roueche’ from our Board of Directors. His situation at work has changed, which necessitated his departure from the Board. Rob has done an outstanding job with building plan reviews and keeping us straight on the CC&Rs. He put in many hours working with owners on their building plans and we appreciate his contribution to the Timber Lakes community.

Accordingly, we now have an opening on our Board. Inasmuch as we are getting close to our annual meeting, we would like to give the property owners the opportunity to elect someone to complete Rob’s term on the Board. We encourage you to consider filing an application to become a candidate. We have four positions open and welcome your participation in the process. We need owners to get involved on the Board and help us continue our efforts to improve life on the mountain.

Please complete the Board Candidate Application Form and send to the office by Friday, May 15, 2009.

Roads Update

Winter has finally come to a close (we think). Many folks are asking when construction trucks well be allowed on the roads of Timber Lakes. We are hoping that the west side will be available the first week of May 2009. Next would be the lower part of the east side and then the upper east side. There is still about 4 foot of snow on the upper east side and that part of the mountain probably will not be open for at least 3 weeks. All of these dates are estimates!

If you have a specific question when your part of the mountain will open for construction traffic, you can contact the security personnel at the front gate for a day-by-day update. They will be the first ones that get the word as to what part of the mountain is open and when.

Credit cards now accepted

At the request of many property owners, we have made the necessary changes to be able to accept your payments to Timber Lakes Property Owners Association by credit card. This service is available, effective immediately.

Because we are a non-profit organization, and every penny counts, we have determined that the cost to the Association for processing credit card transactions needs to pass to the owner who is using the card. After consulting with our bank, and at their recommendation, we will add a processing fee to the amount you are paying by credit card. That fee will be $15 or 3% of the total, whichever is greater.

For example, if you were paying this year’s annual assessment, and you did not owe a late fee or interest, the amount would be $558. The processing fee is $16.74 (because 3% of $558 is greater than $15).

If you were purchasing two snowmobile/ATV stickers and two gate remotes, the total would be $90. The processing fee is $15 (because $15 is greater than 3% of $90).

We can take Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card. We cannot accept American Express or any other credit cards.

To pay by credit card, please call the office during its regular hours (currently 9 am-1 pm Monday through Friday) and Connie will assist you.
